Being a creative human means having countless ideas. Countless great ideas and countless just plain bad ideas. It’s our job as messy, action-taking artists, to follow a whole bunch of ideas until their execution. It’s also our job to say no to even more.
Being a magpie and a collector of ideas is in our DNA. The work comes when it’s time to take action. To make the decision of which one we’ll work on and which ones we’ll leave behind.
It’s our job to know that we can’t do it all and to figure out how to do the stuff that excites us. How do we do it? By taking tiny steps of action. We do the little thing in spite of the fact that we really wanna do ALL the things. Rather than being left paralysed, we create a pocket in our life for the exciting idea. And we move forward with it.
So which idea will you be pursuing this month?
