This season, Messy Artists are focusing on Play and Practice. The joy of the messy middle.
"The middle is messy, but it's also where all the magic happens, all the tension that creates goodness and learning." - Brené Brown
✨️ Play Like A Child with Susanne: Let go of expectations, play around and (re-)connect with your inner child.
✨️ Landscape a Day with Viola: Reconnect with nature and understand the landscape around you through a daily sketching practice.
✨️ Art-Making for Inner Awakening with Jessica: Create inner freedom and strengthen your intuition, one little piece of art at a time
Susanne has loved being creative with a variety of materials since she was a child. It wasn’t until she was an adult that she discovered artjournaling and immediately knew that this was exactly her thing. In her handmade journals she can finally combine all media in one project. Susanne was born and lives in Germany. She works as a psychotherapist and creates art in her free time.
Viola is a mixed media expressive artist with a love for capturing landscapes and nature. Viola believes that we are the creators of our lives and that intuitive art making and capturing nature around us can not only be beautiful and therapeutic, but also very transformative to our view on life.
As a child, Jessica Swift sported a nearly-permanent Crayola marker stain on her left arm, from pinky to elbow. She grew up and, naturally, became an artist. Jessica creates colorful, uplifting artwork and manufactures her own products in her studio in Portland, Oregon. She also collaborates with inspiring companies and publishers to create branded products such as fabric, stationery, puzzles, books, and more. She's the author of 3 books and teaches online classes on topics including intuitive art-making and pattern design. Two rambunctious, creative young children call her mama.
Zero expectations. Zero pressure. All the fun.
